Jim Greene outside the Brewery in State College, PA fall 1980 |
|
Jim Greene was Red Rose Cotillion's "Stu Sutcliffe," if you will. The main difference being that he is alive and well today! Jim was Jerry's artist friend. Jerry introduced him and his girlfriend, Nancy, to the band and Jim immediately became involved in the artistic heart and soul of the band - presenting coveted input into original songs and helping us put together our live show. Since he didn't play an instrument he tried his hand at running the soundboard and became the lens through which the sound of the band was focused. Red Rose Cotillion employed several sound people after Jim moved on but by far the best sounding Red Rose Cotillion live recordings were created when he was running the soundboard. An excellent example is the track "Let Him Reign" from the "It's Been So Long" CD. Jim is now a professional graphic artist and together he and Nancy, now his wife, run an internet based business called "Lucky Stone Living Design. Check 'em out! |
