E-Card Directions

Hello Friends! Here's what you have to do to send this happy birthday e-card. It's very simple but some of you may never have done this. If you already know how to use the "Send Page" feature on your browser, click here to jump to the e-card.

You're going to use the "Send Page" feature on your browser. Here's how it works:

You can send a webpage via email two ways on your Internet Explorer browser.

First, go to the webpage that you want to send. Then:

1. Left-click on the open envelope icon on your Internet Explorer tool bar. Here's where it is:

I drew a hot pink circle around it so you can't miss it. A short menu will open up. One of your options listed is "Send Page..." Click on it.

OR

2.  Left click on the "Tools" menu option. It's up there with the basic Windows menu options:

File    Edit    View    Favorites    Tools    Help

Click on "Mail and News   >" Another short menu will open. Click on "Send Page..."

At that point in time your email software will automatically launch and you'll find yourself looking at a newly created email with the webpage that you want to send in the body. You can tab or click down to the place where you write the email and type a message to the person you want to send the page to. As you write, the webpage will shift down to make room for your text. In this case, you'll want to write something like "Dear Uncle Joe..." Be creative. Use a fancy font. Use a bright color. Make it a LARGE font. This is your big chance to use those fancy fonts, colors, and sizes that you never use because they're too gaudy!

After you read these directions, click here to move on to the happy birthday e-card and have fun. If you need a reminder on what to do, hit your "back" key or click on the "get directions for how so send this e-card using the "send page" feature on your browser" link provided.

If you don't have the Internet Explorer browser then search around the one you have for a similar feature. I'd be VERY surprised if it wasn't there.

If you found these directions to be deficient in some way, please send me an email and tell me about it so I can fix it. Thanks! Jamie Thompson
