Welcome to the already built LaRosa guitar amp website
If you're a fan of classic Black Panel DR and Brown Panel amps,
You're gunna love this amp!
This Website is under construction but it's up and running
If you're not up for building a LaRosa amp yourself, but you'd still like to have one. Never fear! I will be happy to build you one!
My standard LaRosa will cost you $1600.00 plus the shipping to wherever you are
My standard LaRosa build is a 1x12 as seen in the picture above. It comes with: a Weber Vintage series ceramic 25W model 12F150 speaker; a JJ GZ34 rectifier tube; Two Electro Harmonix 6V6GT power tubes; Three Tung Sol 12AX7s for the preamps and inverter; a Shuguang Premium 12AX7 for the vibrato LFO oscillator; a JJ 12AT7 for the reverb driver; and a JJ 12AX7 for the reverb pickup tube. It also features a Weber WO25130 power transformer and Mercury Magnetics choke, output, and reverb transformers. It also comes with a genuine reverb/vibrato two-button footswitch.
If you don't want my standard tube compliment, let me know and I'll adjust the price.
Note: the larger black two-button footswitch in the picture is available as an option. It does not come standard with the amp. More about that footswitch later.
The shipping cost will be what the shipping cost is. No surprising, inflated shipping costs!
My favorite color, obviously, is classic brown tolex with wheat grill cloth, but you have your choice of all the coverings and grill cloths that are offered by Weber Speakers. Click here to see the colors that are available. Note that Weber's cabinets are designed to fit Weber's chassis. They are not reproductions of original designs. If you want to supply me with your own chassis that fits a cabinet that you already have, that's fine. Just email me and let me know what you have in mind.
I can build your LaRosa with a 1x12, 2x12, 4x10, 2x10, or 1x15 cabinet. Or, I can build in a head-only cabinet. Weber's cabinets are professionally made with vintage standard solid pine construction.
You can supply your own speaker(s) or you can choose from Weber's vast speaker offerings. As of this writing, my favorite Weber speaker for this amp is the Weber Vintage Series 12F150.
I've build the LaRosa amp with a Weber power transformer (PT) and BF DR replacement standard Mercury Magnetics choke, output transformer (OT), and reverb transformer. However, you may save some money by changing some of those components to Weber transformers. I use the Weber PT because it makes a lower B+ voltage than the Mercury Magnetics DR PT. That is part of my design criteria for the LaRosa amp.
I use Switchcraft isolating jacks for the inputs and speaker jacks.
I use high quality isolating phono jacks for the footswitch and reverb tank jacks.
If you have a preferred isolating jack, Just email me and let me know what you have in mind.
Under no circumstances will I build a LaRosa that has any non isolating jacks. Ground loops are the enemy!
I use Weber's pots. If you want to supply me with a different set of pots just email me and let me know what you have in mind. We'll adjust the price as needed.
Just email me and let me know what you have in mind.
